Maryline Semaria, France

Nathalie made our trip so much fun and interesting. Her patience as we took loads of photos and as she walked with us through the coolest mountainside village telling us the story about the knight and a star is something I will always remember . Nat has so much energy, enthusiasm and knowledge and I would highly recommend taking a tour with her. She bikes, hikes, camps, explores and I was so happy when she toured us around . Next time I hope to spend more than a day with her. There is always something fun with Nathalie.

Heather Lynne Allison Hames, Canada

We had a great trip through Provence with Nathalie, she was fun and knew a lot of nice little spots.

Pierre Roussel, San Francisco

We spent a month based in Aix en Provence and Nathalie was our guide. She is outstanding! My daughter in law and two granddaughters and I had a specific itinerary in mind and Nathalie made it happen. She drove us to the different sites and was very knowledgeable about each location. My granddaughters love her and have requested to me that she be our guide when we return to Aix. If you have teenagers, you know impressing them is quite an accomplishment! Nathalie went above and beyond - I wanted to take a watercolor class with a local artist and she reached out to her contacts and found me a teacher. She is amazing and I highly recommend her.

Michel Shaw, Florida, USA

Definitely recommend Providence Guide Nathalie. It was such a fun group and experience, and Nathalie was friendly and knowledgeable to share history and culture of southern France. I highly recommend her and her company!

In 2017 we went to Provence for the first time. We met Nathalie as a guide tour: so proud of the region wich she knows by heart.Every corner, every story...we were delighted!
We leaved Provence with the most beautiful souvenir: Nathalie!
She still keeps showing us a glimpse of the world by Nathalie´s eyes and her beautiful world trip photos!

Manuela Guedes, Portugal

wish I could use 6 stars to rate this tour! We had such a memorable time. Our guide was Nathalie Smith, who could not have been better. She picked us up on a rainy day in her very tidy Mercedes van and was absolutely charming. Our misgivings about the wet weather quickly turned into gratitude as we seemed to be the only tourists out and about in the medieval hilltop village that Natalie took us to first. She was very engaging with the French-speaking shop keepers and kept us in the conversations with timely English translation. We then enjoyed a private wine tasting, with a very enthusiastic and English-fluent winemaker (who had been a sommelier in Manhattan for 10 years), followed by a delightful seaside lunch in Cassis. Again, Nathalie was extremely helpful with the French menu and charmed the proprietor into giving us VIP treatment throughout the lunch, including "comping" us on one of the two bottles of wine we ordered. I cannot recommend Nathalie to you highly enough as a guide. She was marvelous, and we are looking forward to our next trip to Provence!

Kirk A, Salt Lake City USA

Aix en provence was beautiful ! After that we went go Cassis, this was magnificent! The view, the quietness, the beach. We didn't make a boat trip, we swim in the sea and lay down in the sun on the beach. Natalie was our guide, she told us everything, shows a lot, it was very good! Even the time was not a problem, she scheduled very easy.

Veronica Harmke, Holland

Merci Nathalie

y husband and I took the Tour of Provence from Marseille to Aix en Provence and Cassis. The tour itself was through beautiful countryside and historic areas of Aix but what made it TRULY EXCEPTIONAL was out tour guide Nathalie Smith. She was completely bi lingual (English-French) and so we were able to get so much more out of the Tour. Nathalie's bubbly personality shone throughout the Tour and she made sure we enjoyed every part of the day.I would definitely recommend doing this tour to my friends, but make sure you ask to be part of Nathalie Smith's tour group.

Maggie Sloper, Australia

Nathalie is an excellent ambassador for Marseille and the area. She is enthusiastic, speaks perfect English, prompt, knowledgable and attentive. We had a great time and would love to return some day soon!

Pamela Froud, Bermuda

Wendy Stewart, Redondo Beach, USA

A guia Natali foi incrível quando percebeu que eu não falava nem inglês nem francês e arranhou um espanhol ótimo. Organizada, pontual, explicou sobre os lugares. Paisagens belíssimas.

Dani Mazzoni, Brazil

We took this tour to see a little of the Provence area, and it did not disappoint.Started out at the Marseille Port Tourist office. There were six of us , plus our guide Nathalie, a fellow world traveller, and native of the area.We were transported in a small Mercedes van, which was comfortable, and able to access all the small roads, also due to Nathalie's skillful driving. Weather was perfect, and we had a great time.Beautiful scenery, which was not easily accessible .At the hilltop Cathedral of Notre Dame we were advised to look around inside( as we had previously been here outside only). We were happily surprised at the unique style and decorations not seen in other churches.Considering everything this was an excellent tour , and good value too.The guide (Nathalie) always determines the level of satisfaction! Merci Natalie!

Sander S. Manhattan Beach, California

Merci Natali. What a great day we had. Thank you also Tom & Terri from Atlanta. Natalie delivered a great tour, countering some "no shows" and some traffic jams along the journey. Her knowledge was extensive (including all the history that occurred before she was born!!!) and her delivery was excellent with candour and wit in both english and french (when asked.... and thank you for correcting my grammar along the way..). Avignon was beautiful and lunch in I'isle sur la sorgue was great. The mountain top views at Gordes were impressive as was the beautiful Ocre town of Roussillon. Merci, Natalie.

Terry Stovell, Atlanta USA

100% recommend this tour! Magnificent spots to enjoy that we wouldn’t have been able to find on our own. Lavender fields are just amazing! We managed to avoid the crowds as we started early and right on time. We were also able to watch first hand the harvesting. Our guide, Natalie, also showed us the amazing lake in Moustiers Saint Marie. How I wished we had more time to dive into those waters!! (No filter in the pic!). Also she drove us to the top of the hill with great options for lunch which we really enjoyed without worrying where to park and enjoying some wine. Finally, the stop at L’Occitane was a plus. Again I wished we had more time to spend there and shop!! This is a great tour, very professional, very well organized, amusing guide, top van.

Marisol, Lima Perou

Natalie was our tour guide. We had a great day with a small group of 6. Loved the local knowledge and info provided by Natalie. Great day in a beautiful area of France.
Booking, meeting place was well coordinated.

Dale W, Brisbane, Autralia

We had a wonderful day with Natalie enjoying the highlights of Aix en Provence, Cassis, and Marseille. The Calanques were fantastic to see. Natalie’s tour was friendly and well organised yet felt very relaxed. A full on day made much easier with this great guide.

Mitch, Wellington, New Zealand

I had a wonderful day on the ‘Full-Day Small Group Lavender Tour to Valensole, Moustiers Sainte Marie and Verdon’ lead by our superb guide Nathalie. Upon arrival at the designated meeting place at the Aix en Provence tourism office, I was cheerfully greeted by Nathalie, who explained our departure process. We were then escorted to a spotless, comfortable, and well air-conditioned Mercedes van and set out for our first destination – the lavender and sunflower fields of the Plateau de Valensole.

En route, Nathalie (French, and a great English speaker) provided local facts at a nice relaxed pace and with a healthy dose of humor. Nathalie explained that the field were in the process of harvest, providing thorough details on the process as she pointed out the harvested and soon-to-be harvested fields. She knew just where to take us to avoid a glut of tourist photographers, and our multiple photo stops afforded wide cinematic landscapes free of other photographers. We also stopped at a local vendor’s shop for olive oil tasting, and a plethora of irresistible lavender products, (I can’t wait to use my lavender syrup in a martini!). This stop also provided a restroom and had a full coffee and snack area for a welcomed espresso. Nathalie remained present during the entire tasting presentation, while I simultaneously saw other guides seated outside on their phones not focused on their guests. Her engagement was impressive, and she answered several questions during this stop.
En route to Moustiers Sainte Marie, we made a photo stop to capture the mountainside village from afar, as well as to catch our first glimpse of the village of Les Salles sur Verdon. We continued on to a bridge for photo opps of amazing water sports below, including paddle boats, kayaks, and even a cliff-diver well-aware of our cameras. We then continued in the van to climb to the medieval village of Moustiers Sainte Marie for a solo-lunch and walkabout.

After leaving the village, Nathalie then took us to the lavender fields of the Verdon Canyon, and the panoramic view of the fields framed by the mountains was a unparalleled photo opp. In the late afternoon, we visited the L'Occitane factory store. This site also has a museum and production facility, which were closed due the day of the week we visited.

Nathalie was an amazing guide. She was engaging, energetic, interactive, and very knowledgeable about all the locations she took us too. Also her driving skills were impressive – she drove the large van as if it was a sedan! The overall pacing of the day was ideal for my taste, and the time at each stop was neither too brief nor too excessive. Thank you, Nathalie for making this tour such a memorable day.

Michael Nicklin, Los Angeles, USA

Nathalie was very enthusiastic, energetic and knowledgeable. She steered us to the best places for viewing and photographing - spectacular, dramatic views. She gave us good directions and allowed time for us to wander on our own. She had a wealth of information and was happy to share and answer questions. We would highly recommend this tour to others.

Jack Breen, Raleigh, North Carolina, USA

Had a fantastic cruise down the Rhone which ended in Avignon. For a little bit more than the cruise's cost of a transfer to Marsaille, our delightful hostess Nathalie picked us up with our luggage in Avignon and our day spent with her was even better than any day on our wonderful cruise! We wandered through the various markets throughout Aix en Provence trying local treats and purchasing unique items, drove up above Cassis for some breathtaking views, then enjoyed a decadent lunch in the port. We took in a local winery before heading to our hotel in Marseilles. Would do it again in a heartbeat!

Bob R. Newnan, Georgia, USA

My friend and I took this tour. Our tour guide was Nathalie. I was very sick and this wonderful lady found me an English speaking doctor and an all night pharmacy. Without her help I would not have been able to enjoy the rest of my time in Europe. She is a treasure. The tour was amazing. She was very knowledgeable of the area and explained everything as we were driving to each location. If your looking for a great and memorable experience in this area, this is the way to do it. Ask for Nathalie, you won’t be disappointed.

Suzie West, Virginia, USA

My granddaughter and I had Nathalie Smith as our Guide in this tour. She was outstanding in every respect. Not only she is knowledgeable about the places we visited, but most importantly she was extremely thorough in explaining the historical content of each place we visited. We very much enjoyed her wonderful personality and service oriented demeanor! It was a joy to share a day with Nathalie which made our visit most memorable!! We are most grateful

The day tour conducted by Natalie was informative and yet not too heavy. It was an extremely windy day but we had fun nevertheless as she continued to provide us the best alternative. We strongly recommend her to those who wish to have a comprehensive tour of this area.

We had quite a shock when we arrived into Marseille port and found the dock workers were
on strike and not allowing vehicles in to the cruise ship area.  our awesome guide, Nathalie, was waiting for us once the port opened approx 2 hours later. Nathalie was kind, exuberant and knowledgeable as we toured Aix-en-Provence and a local winery. Nathalie definitely helped us have the best day after a troubling start and we highly recommend

Aix en Provence, Chateauneuf du Pape, and Arles.

For a private day trip from Aix en Provence, our tour guide Nathalie, picked us up from the hotel in an air-conditioned Mercedes van. We had a loose idea of three sights: Avignon; some Roman ruins; and the famous wine village of Chateauneuf du Pape. She quickly figured out a course and we were off. Tip: Feel free to ask your guide lots of questions.

Nathalie is enjoyable, accommodating, speaks several languages, excellent English, is a good driver, and knows the area and the history very well.

First stop, the walled-city of Avignon, highlighting the Medieval Gothic church, a little walk through town, and the famous ruin of the Pont Saint Benezet bridge over the wide dark green Rhone River. Hearing Nathalie's descriptions and standing where Popes walked took us back in time.

The quaint Chateauneuf du Pape was next, famous for its wines and a Pope's summer castle, chateau of the Pope. We had a nice lunch with Nathalie. (Note: You can invite your guide to lunch, otherwise, you can eat privately.) Then to a wine-tasting with Veronique and a few bottles of wine to carry home with gourmet goodies. We drove down vineyard roads where the vines (post harvest) were planted in surprisingly soft but rocky soil.

Finally, Roman ruins in Arles. An astonishing colosseum, amphitheater, part of an 11 BC ruin in Forum Square, and sites where Van Gogh lived and painted - the prints shown nearby. We invited Nathalie to stop for coffee with us, and she found the perfect spot before heading back to Aix.

We had a delightful time and were very pleased with her knowledge of the towns and the sights in this area that helped make history real for us. Many thanks.

Patrick A. Houston, Texas, USA

We booked this tour ourselves as our cruise ship didn’t offer Cassis. I’m so glad we did. The Mercedes van was so clean and comfortable & the tour group size (7pax) was wonderful compared to the large busses you get pun on elsewhere. Nathalie was an excellent driver. We had a nice overview of all our stops and then ample free time to explore on our own, with excellent restaurant recommendations.

If you’re on a cruise ship like us, you need to make certain that your ship arrives by 8am and departs after 6pm. Ours departed at 10pm, so we know we’d have ample time to return.

Wallis Parker, New York, USA

Our group of four was supposed to explore Aix and go hiking with a picnic. However, weather did not permit. But our guide, Nathalie made our tour great and so enjoyable with her enthusiasm and great knowledge about the area. Her English was excellent. We went to the Notre Dam Cathedral and the outside market. Enjoyed wine at an outside cafe. Aix is a beautiful, clean, quaint old city with lots of history. If you go to market in the square, one must try the baguette with melted cheese and prosciutto...out of this world delicious! Thank you Nathalie for showing us a good time!

Daryl M. Tennessee, USA

this trip included Cassis, the Calanques and Marseilles. Natalie to tour guide was lovely and provided lots of information. The trip is well planned and worth the expense. As noted the Calanques boat trip is extra, but if you want to get an idea of the south of France then this is it. No broad Aussie beaches here! Marseilles was particularly interesting - but very busy at this time of the year.

Willy K. Victoria, Australia

We had an amazing Provence tour with Nathalie! She made sure the trip was everything we wanted it to be! When we didn’t have time to get to the Calanques boat tour, she found a way to get us a private boat that could still get us a tour. An absolutely amazing experience with Nathalie!

Mark P. Keller, Texas, USA

7 of us piled into a lovely 8 seater van to go around Provence to view the lavender in July. The car was very comfortable and of course with the hot weather at that time of year, we also welcomed the aircon. So we got to tour around very comfortably. Our driver Nathalie was excellent. She was flexible with her time with us and our day, she was chatty, informative and she really made our trip for the day exceptional. Aircon van, comfy seats and a great tour guide/driver, you won’t go wrong with this company.

Mary M. Brisbane, Australia

Natalie is an amazing guide. She was friendly and very knowledgeable about the locations she took us too. She also took us to many stops with breathtaking views. Also her driving skills are unmatched. 10/10 would do a tour with Natalie again!

Angeline R. San Diego, USA

Our cruise ship arrive in Marseille at 0800 on Tuesday, June 5th. Natalie picked us up at 0830 in a very new and clean Mercedes van and what an amazing day. Natalie is very energetic, very professional, flexible and very knowledgeable and informative. We departed the Marseilles cruise port and headed to Aix en Provence. What a beautiful old and historic city. We spent approx 1.5 hours in Aix touring the old town and had an opportunity to spend additional time in a lovely market.

We then headed to Cassis and stopped along the way to take some amazing photos of some of the most amazing views in France. Spent 2 hours in Cassis and ate at Nino's as a recommendation from Natalie. Don't miss Nino's, excellent seafood and wine for lunch.

After Cassis, we headed back to Marseilles and spent the remainder of our time at walking up and taking pictures of the city from Notre Dame de la Garde. Church began construction in 1852 and a beautiful view of Marseilles from the top of the hill. This is a must see when in Marseilles.

We ended our day with Natalie and were returned to our cruise ship after an amazing 7 hour tour. If you are in Marseilles and want to see these amazing places, don't hesitate to book with  Natalie.

What a great experience especially with the knowledge and expertise of our guide Natalie!!!!!
We definitely recommend it!
Thank you for a great day

We booked a tour with Nathalie Smith

to St Remy, Les Baux and Chateau Dalmeran winery. Nathalie is energetic, informative and charming. She worked with me for 6 months in advance to plan a private tour with 8 cousins. She picked us up in Aix in a mini van and drove us through the countryside. She walked us through local markets in St Remy. She added a short visit to Saint Paul Asylum where Van Gogh spent a year living and painting. Nathalie knew the best photo opportunities. She made a lunch reservation for us in advance in Les Baux, and coordinated a visit to Carrieres Lumières to see the Picasso exhibit. We ended the day at a lovely winery, Chateau Dalmeran. The owner provided a personalized tour of the grounds and the wine making process. Amazing day! Not to missed if you are in Provence.

Julian Dare, Carpinteria, California, USA

We were greeted at the cruise ship by Natalie who took us to Avignon which was an amazing town not to be missed. The pope lived there for 100 years when there was trouble in Rome. It’s not a small little village and so much to see and everything is lovely!! our guide Natalie was amazing such enthusiasm and great knowledge. Her English was perfect with ofcourse the Darling French accent!! It would not have been as great a day without such a fabulous guide. Request Natalie as your guide!! she took us to chateau- de - pape a small village de wine tastings too!! We had a group of six and she drove us in a nice van!!

Suzy K. Newport Beach, California, USA

My husband and I boot a day tour  Natalie was our guide and she was lovely, kind and very informative. We had a very good experience and Id definitely recommend it to any one who goes to Marseille or a southern town of France.

Ishani, New Delhi, India

Natalie our tour guide on Oct. 28th into the Luberon Hilltop villages was amazing and tended to all our needs and requests. She picked us up on time and ensured we were back to our cruise in time. Amazing Hilltop villages like Gordes, Roussillon and Loumarin. Extra special stop at a winery. Would highly recommend this tour and if you get Natalie a bonus.
